Who Will Populate The Millennial Kingdom?

One of the most common questions concerning the end times is who will populate the millennial kingdom. How will mortal bodies enter into the time period known as the 1000 year reign of Christ? Who will these people be? Pastor Joe Schimmel answers this question and many more in a teaching he gave at his home church, Blessed Hope Chapel in Simi Valley, CA. Joe your answer is pulling at straws and your attempt to make difference between Jews and believers is a stretch. The scripture teach that all who do not take the mark are those who are the remnant Jews and what few gentiles are left. Your use of the Old Testament shows like usual you agonizing attempt at spiritualizing the scriptures to make them say what you need them to say to get out of theological corner you worked yourself into. The Context of Zechariah 13:1 talks about the remnant Jews who are hold up in Petra and survive until the second Coming. Zechariah 14:16-19, is one of the nations mentioned as having come up against Jerusalem, they are the outcasts of Isaiah 27:13 so not all the wicked are destroyed at the second coming only those who received the mark, Assyria will come along as well. I don’t think you have thought threw this enough these people aren’t the church but they are the wicked something is wrong with your scenario.

  2. I listened to most of the video on who will be populating the millenium in natural bodies but I did not hear an answer. If all will be resurrected at the second coming and the wicked will be thrown out and burned, Who? the remnant that repent after the rapture? just before the second coming? Please give me a simple answer. thanks

    • Here is a basic summary answer to your question:

The 144,000 Jews sealed by God in Revelation 7 do not follow the antichrist (but don’t follow Christ yet either – but other Jews will follow Antichrist).

Revelation 12, God protects the woman (Israel) who is protected for 42 months

Romans 11 says that after the last Gentile is saved (the fullness of the Gentiles), He will turn ungodliness from Jacob (Israel) – we see this in Zechariah 12:2-3, Zechariah 12:10

(Believers don’t need to be sealed, we are sealed by the Holy Spirit)

      1. Jews are crying out to Yahweh
      2. Church is raptured
      3. Jesus returns and the Jews see the One whom they have pierced
      4. Jesus sets His foot upon the mount of Olives
      5. Jews will put their trust in Jesus, but they will have missed the rapture:
“On that day there shall be a fountain opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and uncleanness.” –Zechariah 13:1 (ESV)
      6. People will live a minimum of 100 years:
“No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man who does not live out his days; For the youth will die at the age of one hundred And the one who does not reach the age of one hundred will be thought accursed.” –Isaiah 65:20

      Zechariah 14:4
“In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.”

Zechariah 14:12-13 (nuclear war at the end – Armageddon)
“Now this will be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongue will rot in their mouth.”

But there will be survivors from the war of armageddon:
“Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths. And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, there will be no rain on them. If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the Lord smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.” –Zechariah 14:16-19

At the end of 1000 years, Satan is loosed from the pit and he deceives the nations once again and tries to go against Jesus in the battle of Gog and Magog.

How are people allowed into the kingdom at this time? We can look to Moses and the generation that entered the Promised Land in the Old Testament. Jews were wandering in the wilderness for 40 years. Only Joshua and Caleb were allowed to enter the Promised Land. So who else went with them? Those who had not yet reached the age of accountability. The Lord said that anyone who was 20 years or younger could go in with them. They would have been too young when the nation of Israel (adult Jews) sinned, therefor those 20 years or younger were not held accountable.

Likewise, when the antichrist is reigning and people (adults) are taking the mark of the beast, young people will not be taking the mark, they’re too young. (And even if they did, they would not be held accountable for it because they are too young to know what their parents are making them do.) So there will be many young people who will enter into the millennium who do not have the mark of the beast and are under the age of accountability.

This fulfills the prophecies spoken of in the Old Testament about Jesus reigning for a 1000 years on earth and the remnant from the tribulation period who have yet to make a decision for Christ in their lifetime.

How do we reign in resurrected bodies on the earth? It’s already been done! Jesus came back after His resurrection to earth for 40 days! He ate and drank with the disciples…in His resurrected body.
